With Sublime, STARSEED'Z turns a release party into a living extension of its artistic identity

Rather than marking the fourth digital single with another promotional milestone a month after Sublime's release, STARSEED'Z made the almost daring choice to forgo any accompaniment. The group invited a purposefully small circle of media outlets, content creators, dancers and music lovers to an event on July 22, 2026 that felt more like a personal gathering than a showcase.

Storied as the event was, when invited to attend Studio K gleaned an avenue that embodied the inherent nature of the tune: letting oneself be fully immersed in a moment. While much of the music released today is rushed and artists are pressured to produce more shows and promotional material, STARSEED'Z decided to take their time with direct relations instead.

The night began with a music video of Sublime, which allowed all the attendees to relive the visual world of the song. The initial experience of immersion was then followed by a question and answer session with the members of the band, where the discussion was not confined to the promotion of their latest single, but delved into much deeper aspects, such as the band’s creative development, their music identity and the unbreakable sisterhood bond between the four members of the band.

It seems that the latter is the core element of STARSEED’Z experience, according to the band members. Talking about the power of the band, they mentioned what they call the real “sisterhood” they created in the process of experiencing various highs and lows of their joint path: “We’ve had some really, really good highs, but we’ve also had some really, really bad lows together. That’s what makes us in a way connected for life”.

But not only does this link between its performers help us comprehend the song itself. Through its gloomy aesthetics and catchy sound, the song describes a feeling which is focused on the present time: the force of the encounter, the urge to surrender and accept something ephemeral. Thus, the song does not present some kind of romantic idealization of the situation but shows the situation in which attraction, freedom, and consciousness coexist.

The musical style of the track is electro-pop with the influence of dance and deep house genres. The constant movement provided by the bassline, electronic sound design and rhythm creates a feeling of late night environment with the contrast of energetic chorus and intimate quiet parts of the track.

Moreover, the production of the song is built in such a way that the vocal individuality of Léa, Kalee, Kanya, and Nana is still visible. The common interpretation of the track becomes crucial as each voice offers different nuance and at the same time contributes to the common artistic direction. This concept was also described by the members during the evening .

“The most important thing for us is not just trying many different styles, but finding our own identity. And our own identity comes from the fact that we are all different”, the members explained, adding that their desire to explore different musical worlds comes precisely from their unique personalities.

This search for identity also extends to their use of the French language. With Sublime, STARSEED'Z is not simply performing in another language; they are fully incorporating it into their artistic expression. French becomes a tool for exploring different sounds, rhythms, and emotional nuances.

As the members explained during the Q&A, the language carries a unique richness in the way it can express subtle emotions: “For me, the French language is an extremely beautiful language, and through it, we can say things in such a beautiful way… things we might not be able to express in English”. This approach aligns with the ambition of Sublime, where the musicality of the words contributes as much to the atmosphere as the production itself.

The visual world around Sublime represents the continuation of the same artistic path. Music video features the nighttime setting based on neon lights, contrast between shadows and brightness and the urban environment that reminds of a night frozen in time. Instead of developing a complicated plotline, the video tries to convey emotions by representing the intensity of the moment which becomes special exactly because it will never come back again.

Choreography is another way to establish this identity. It is fluid and elegant, it conveys the sense of attraction and confidence in a group that is discussed in the song lyrics. This aspect was perfectly realized during the event.

At some point at the end of the evening when the official program was slowly coming to an end, the members of STARSEED'Z decided to teach the Sublime choreography to some of the guests and film some videos together. The process which could have become just another part of the planned program became a spontaneous one, reducing the distance between the artists and guests.

In many ways, this is the perfect symbol for the whole night. They stayed with us throughout the event, engaging with media, content creators, dancers, and guests in-between the programmed interactions. Their team also helped create such an environment, adding the humanity to the event which would have otherwise been quite different from a typical promotional one.

In a way, the release party embodies the philosophy behind Sublime. The song talks about enjoying fully each moment that is ephemeral and the event was all about doing exactly that - making something special out of these people and that special moment. Temporary experience which did not have to last long in order to be truly special.

In terms of Sublime, STARSEED'Z is not just revealing another facet of their music. The group is creating a brand which unites music, visual elements, and human interaction all at once. At a time when new releases become obsolete rather fast, this event was a reminder that the artistic project can keep on living through memories and human connections made through it.
